As I sit here and Google various forms of the statement “letter from the editor” I am met with many results, but none of them meet my needs for inspiration. The search continues. I begin to fill more words into the search bar: “letter from the editor” followed by “how to write” and then “Washington Post”. Eventually my Google history is filled with these deconstructed searches but my mind is still blank. I guess I’m on my own for this one. Well, hello! I am Ava Jennings, the Editor-in-Chief of the Tiger Tribune for the 2023-2024 school year. While we may have just started last year, we are already growing immensely and I couldn’t be prouder. I am so glad to be in charge of such a wonderful group of journalists and guide them on their journeys. From those who mostly stay hidden behind their cameras or drawing on their iPads, to the opinion writers, and those brave enough to go out and interview, I would say we’ve collected a pretty wonderful group of people. I am exhilarated to continue to watch the Tribune grow and change. Thank you to my wonderful Tribune staff, and thank you, reader, for joining us on this literary adventure.
