What is the Knowledge Bowl, and what was their journey to State?
The Knowledge Bowl competition is where teams compete head to head in a trivia battle between two other teams from different schools. In the beginning, they go through four to five practice rounds, and as long as the team does well they can earn an opportunity to go to the Districts. While competing at Districts, our team went up against other teams who were at the A1 level. Our team had a successful advance to state for the 1A district, where they competed in Wenatchee and placed 9th overall.
Who’s part of the team?
Brothers Clarence Grossman (Senior) and Jonathan Grossman (Junior), excel at geography, history, and politics. They both contribute a lot to their teams’ competitions.
Junior Thomas Hancock is well skilled in high-level physics and levels of math as well as contributing to the topics that the Grossman brothers favor.
Sophomore Deacon Roth, is excellent at languages and also contributes to math and physics.
The advisors, Mr. Adam Gessaman and Mr. Trevor Williams, are in charge of leading the Knowledge Bowl team. As the leaders, they practice with the team and travel to competitions.
