BOTC this year was one to remember, we saw a gorgeous hallway and an amazing skit by the Seniors with their theme being Princes and the Frog. Juniors had a rough start but finished at the end surprisingly well with their theme of Rio. The Sophomores, I don’t know how to describe it, but at least they tried but in the end, it wasn’t enough for the Cars to pull through. Freshmen looked like they were in the lead for a majority of the time (but may I say what was that Monopoly skit?). Anyway, here is the BOTC recap in case you missed it (I’m especially talking to the Sophomores. Show up and support your grade next year!).
The hallway winner this year was the Seniors, which came to no surprise, because from top to bottom the hallway looked right out of the swamp, in a good way. The details on the walls and their 3D elements were amazing.
The first physical competition was Macho Volleyball, where the guys had to play volleyball and they showed off their skills. To determine the win it was an exciting match with the Seniors vs. the Sophomores in a tiebreaker game, the score was close, but ultimately the Seniors got the victory and came in first on the board. The Sophomores got second place which was a job well done for them (shout to the Sophomore team for doing well and putting the pressure on the Seniors during the game). It was the Juniors vs. Freshman for 3rd, and the winner was the Juniors. The Freshman got last place in volleyball.
The second game was Powderpuff football with the girls giving their all during this game. Senior vs. Juniors faced off to determine first place Powder Puff, the Juniors got the win and first place. Seniors got second place, good job. The Sophomores vs. Freshmen were in a battle for 3rd place. With the Sophomore getting the win and earning 3rd place. And in last place for powderpuff football were the Freshman.
The main event was a lot of fun and students showed their spirit and support for their classes. We can all agree that the Sophomores had the loudest cheer and chants at all the events, especially for there being a small number of people there, supporting their grade. The Senior and Junior classes dominated most of the physical games at the main event, but don’t count out the Sophomores who were close behind during the main event games. The Freshmen didn’t do so well in the games played at the main event. The gym decoration we can all agree that the Seniors had the best gym decoration and skit. The overall winner for BOTC was the Seniors, so big congratulations to them.
