Hopefully, you went to the Charlie Brown Play. Chances are, you might have, as there were a lot of people there, so much so that it was tricky getting in and out of the school! If you didn’t, then you missed out on a really good show. For instance, I thought the singing was excellent! (To be fair, I am only fourteen years old and have no clue how to sing, so I’m not one to judge, but through my ears, it was great.) The show’s lines were also fantastic. Everyone spoke loud and clear, and everything was perfectly understandable, and perfectly timed.
Not only that, but the props were also super cute! Snoopy’s doghouse, Lucy’s psychiatric help stand, and even the brick wall were all adorable. (According to several of the members in the play, a lot of the props were re-used from last year. Some were newly made and others were simply updated. Almost all of them were handmade.)
Surprisingly, this Charlie Brown performance was my first time attending or watching a play – well, unless you count Hamilton. Personally, for a school play, it was very enjoyable. I am (and hopefully lots of other people are) excited to see the next school play!
“My favorite part of the play was honestly the singing, I love to sing and it was very fun to be able to do that on stage. But my favorite scene was probably the scene with Lucy at her psychiatric booth. The best memory from the whole of the play though was watching the little kids’ faces light up when we were on stage. Just watching them look up at us with wonder and amazement filled me with joy and made all the hard work worth it.” – Gabe Ritchey, Charlie Brown
